All iPhone users who use Skype to communicate time to cheep up. Here is some great news for you folks. For now, you can call, chat, video call and do a lot of things with a new Skype app brought out by Fring.

For those who are unaware about iPhone Skype app, iPhone has a Skype app which works like the normal; well, not so normal; Skype for far off communication. The Skype app was available sometime in April 2009. iPhone users were glad to at last have Skype on their iPhones, however Skype app on iPhone  didn’t have VOIP over 3G and asked for WiFi. But now, thanks to Fring, Skype is going to have a lot more use for iPhone users.  But unfortunately, like everything, Fring’s Skype app also has limitations. So let’s quickly look into what the Fring Skype app does and what it does not.

What the App does?

In brief, video calling, chatting and all such primary things which one uses Skype for becomes convenient and most importantly one doesn’t have to pay a cent for that. The app is completely free of cost. One can download the Skype app from the big Apple App store.

What the Fring Skype App still needs to have?

Though the application simplifies many elements, it has to compromise on a few things. There is no iPhone to iPhone VOIP cal feature. You only have PC to iPhone communication. And also, there is no two-way video chat.

So those were a few good things that the Fring Skype app brought and few things that it still needs to be added. But guys at iphonehelp opines that after this add from Fring, Skype may have to act on bringing out its own app with all the regular features, which people from PC have access to, for the iPhone users.

Hopefully that happens and all iPhone users have better Skype communication features.
