Most reverse phone directories claim to offer the customer all the information they may need on any phone number. They also say that this can be used by telemarketers to narrow down there cold call list all the way to the suspicious husband wondering if that phone number really belongs to the new best friend or to someone else. We will go over some pros and con’s and let you decide.
There are many different reverse telephone number search companies that claim to be able to centralize all information about different phone numbers and their owners, and in doing so offer it to you the consumer for a low price. The truth is that most of these companies only have public information from phone directories on most land lines. The truth is also that you can access these same files from the many different phone directories yourself if you know where to look and have the time to go from site to site.
Where the main benefit to the reverse phone book directory is when you are looking for cell phone and unlisted landline numbers. The Reverse Phone Detective Site is the best site that I have found, they not only offer over 250 million numbers that are constantly being updated but they have most all cell phones and even most unlisted numbers which compared to other sites is outstanding.
I have tested the Reverse Phone Detective site myself on a few random numbers out of my daily life and was amazed at the amount of information that it was so complete. Not only did I get information on the unlisted ones but the cell phone numbers from multi state area, the owners name, address with location map and if it was a land line or cell phone. In the past this information was only available for law enforcement and private detectives so you can trust how valuable it is.
This site has a range of prices for the $15 charge for a one time search and is great if you only need to check on one number, however I found that after I did this there were several others that I wanted to “check” on so then I had to pay the $40 for the unlimited version. They also have a free section that will let you know if they even have the number in their system, if you would like to check before paying.
You may be thinking that I will never need any service like this, but it is nice to know that a reverse phone lookup search is available for all the little feelings we so often get when it comes to our spouse or kids. I feel that a small charge of $15 to $40 is worth the price of the peace of mind and lack of fighting that it use to be when I questioned where my daughter was calling from to check in, or the phone numbers that are sometimes wrote on the back of a business card found in a pocket doing laundry. I am not checking everything all the time, but once in a while it does come in handy.
