The N series phones were designed not to capture the general mobile phone user community in the world but rather a specific target market of users in which the features, design, and other details regarding the phones are adapted specifically to the use and the preferences of their specific markets.

The Nokia N96, for example, although can be used by almost any kind of user who have had experiences using mobile phones — as long as he or she may be able to afford the hefty price — it’s adapted, made, and marketed specifically to business users, corporate class, and the steady mix of such with musical inclinations. This could be noted immediately when one views the design of the Nokia N96. When Nokia makes phones for its regular consumers, teenage age groups, or otherwise general market, the design usually comes in many colors and varied shapes.  However, for the Nokia N96, the only color available upon purchase is a dark black, a preference that is usually associated to business users and the corporate world.  It also focuses its technology on voice activated features for calling and jotting down memos, an essential tool for those who use mobile phones integrated within their working environment in offices, boardroom meetings, and the like.

Again, another feature that we could directly associated with the Nokia N96 being targeted to business users is that it is fully integrated with various office softwares popular in computers today such as Microsoft office and other derivatives.

Traditionally, the C. Rees, when it was first announced by Nokia, a few years back, had the specific purpose of image taking, music playing, and Web surfing.  It is still the case today that the phones in the series are designed specifically for a target market.  However, because of the fast growth of technology and improvement of the various other hardware and software that are being installed into the mobile phones, we immediately noticed that the Nokia N96 is jam-packed with such other features and not only those specifically dedicated to business use. The camera, for example, has a five mega pixel capability which only previously belonged to the N95: a phone designed for imaging.

The acceleromometer, however, is a fairly new feature that has gained popularity only recently in the business world since their release of the popular competitor of the company and the devices it makes which is the Apple iPhone, which has the same integrated technology of being able to use the phone either in a landscape or a portrait mode.

Another integrated feature that we may be able to associate to the target market which the Nokia N96 is aiming for is its WiFi connectivity feature — indeed an essential tool for any business person, may it be for small and medium enterprises to large corporations.  Connectivity is the new wave of business, and the Nokia N96 would not want to miss the opportunity of being able to deliver its service while at the same time attracting that specific market — especially for the high price that is needed in order to purchase the device.

When it comes to many technological devices, sometimes the accessories make or break their success. Many companies have earned their fame through providing accessories for already popular multimedia products. From software to hardware, computers, cell phones, mp3 players and video games are boosted with the help of these outside additions. The iPhone is no different, and while it was popular on its own, iPhone accessories have only helped to fan the fire. The numerous iPhone accessories available have made it easier to use, more fun to play with and the most adaptable of any electronic device available today. The iPhone has the potential for unheard of longevity, and much of this is thanks to its accessories, both those released by Apple and those developed by third-party companies.

Marketing Strategies

For many companies, success hinges on partnerships with larger, more widely-known companies. The business of accessories is a lucrative business if done successfully; companies like Bluetooth depend on the products their technology helps. Many of these companies do not offer stand-alone products. For the iPhone, these accessories keep both current customers happy and help attract other customers who may have needed one more factor to sway their purchasing power.

Current iPhone accessories available on the market include Bluetooth headsets, allowing for users to enjoy hands-free calling power. The headset is wireless, and like most Bluetooth products available for other cell phones, it offers over five hours of use due to a built-in lithium battery. It comes with a specialized Dual Dock system that charges both the headset and the iPhone simultaneously.

Charging products are some of the most popular iPhone accessories, and some of the most popular accessories in general for Apple products. The iPhone can be charged with the Apple USB Power Adapter when a computer is not available; this AC adapter plugs into the USB cable that comes with iPhone. The Apple Dock Connect to USB Cable can charge an iPhone with the use of a computer or a wall plug, and also allows for efficient syncing. Other adapters and iPhone accessories help to make the iPhone work with older iPod-based docks and charging systems, helping consumers who already own Apple products not have to purchase identical hardware.

While these iPhone accessories are offered through Apple, many identical products and additional accessories are offered by third-party companies. While some consumers choose to stay with officially-licensed products, many of these other companies offer high-quality devices at cheaper costs, and some of their hardware and software releases have yet to be adopted by Apple. With a product as popular as the iPhone, new and exciting accessories will continue to be released daily.

It will come as no secret to anyone that we live in the age of communication.  A simple look around at those who are in the shopping center, on the public street, in restaurants, etc. will reveal that we are tethered by mobile phones.  This age of communication and the availability of cell phones also provide easy access to our e-mails and correspondence through text messaging.

In addition, our communication devices are becoming more powerful and more elaborate.  As such they provide the user a number of functions to help in the scheduling of their day, listening to favorite music, accessing the Internet, and staying in touch with individuals in both their personal and professional lives.

One such device is the iPhone and with the increased usage coupled with the multi-function programs available it is important to understand how the iPhone is powered.  Therefore, understanding the iPhone battery and how to extend the iPhone battery’s life for uninterrupted use is important.

Understanding The iPhone Battery

First of all, it is important to know that not only is the iPhone a new device but the batteries that power this device are new as well.  The actual batteries that are contained within the iPhone are called lithium polymer.  These particular types of batteries have a 1400 mAh capacity.

There are basically three advantages of these types of energy cells being used in the iPhone.  First of all, these batteries are smaller but their size does not minimize the energy that is available.  In fact, the lithium polymer battery has a greater density and capacity for energy.

Secondly, the weight associated with these batteries is less.  Therefore, this enhances the look and feel that the makers of the iPhone were attempting to capture.

The third reason that this type of battery is optimum as the iPhone battery is a safety factor.  It is been proven that these types of batteries are less prone to becoming overheated and therefore causing any critical damage to the unit or user.

Prolonging The Life Of The iPhone Battery

The other critical issue surrounding the use of the iPhone and extending the actual life of the battery itself are the steps that the owner can take.  The first primary step in prolonging the life of the iPhone battery is to make sure that the unit is not directly exposed to the sun over an extended period of time.

Another important action that should be taken to prolong the iPhone battery is when the unit needs to be recharged.   Specifically, it is important not to run the batteries completely down.  A completely discharged battery could possibly cause damage to the circuitry of the iPhone despite the fact that there is a protective system in place to prevent this from happening.  However, it is best not to take any needless chances.  Therefore, it is recommended that the iPhone battery be recharged when the 20% warning message appears or just prior to.

In addition, even though the battery life may only allow for a maximum number of charges, it is important to charge the iPhone battery on a daily basis.  The rationale behind a daily charge is that the uncharged day that the unit is used may call for the battery to operate at the lower one third of its operating range.  This practice may potentially damage the iPhone battery needlessly.
